Coming Home – Advent Devotional

Can you believe that it is almost Advent 2021? If you are still looking for an Advent devotional for your church check out “Coming Home!” It’s a free download (see below) written by pastors, deacons, youth directors, children’s ministers, and CYF specialists, and it is written for all ages!

Design by Kenna Chase, Design Coordinator at Bethlehem Lutheran Church – Twin Cities.

How to use it? Each day from Sunday, November 28 (Advent 1) thru Christmas Day, December 25, families, students, or individuals should read the Bible verse, and then the story, say the prayer, and journal the question. There are two downloads: one is a spread for a booklet & the other one is pages.

  1. A Christian Education Director who used to be at our church first introduced me to Heather Roth Johnson’s great writing/projects for youth.  This past Lent my tween-aged son and I used “Game On’ for Lent.  All of my in-laws will be at our house for Christmas.  I have been less than excited about getting ready for this.  I will use the devotional I received today with my two kids, but it is EXACTLY what I needed! THANK YOU!!! Janet Kim
