The Generosity Project

In 2019, there was a great resource put together under the direction of Linda States called the “The Generosity Project.” My role as a contributor allowed me to write and share storytellings and curriculum around the idea of money, family, and stewardship.

Once the download was ready, the pandemic of 2020 hit and people had to isolate in place. Now that we are post-pandemic and people are gathering together again, I want to lift up this fabulous curriculum and encourage you to use it. Here are my top 5 reasons why The Generosity Project is important:

  1. It’s Relevant! Our God is a generous God, and God can teach you on how to have a generous household. The curriculum is all about equipping households from singles to couples to families to be generous, to lean into their baptismal promises, and help people live out our faith. To get started, check out the welcome letter.
  2. It’s Biblical! In all, there are 5 weeks of stewardship curriculum, a worship service, and a weekly take home piece that center around a Bible story. You can see a sample here.
  3. It’s Fundamental to Faith! Check out this article on the Foundations of the The Generosity Project, and the “why” behind the project.
  4. It’s Intergenerational! After the pandemic, people are excited to be together again. Finding ways to pull people of all ages is important. In this curriculum, you can be sure that all ages will be engaged!
  5. It’s Versatile! This curriculum can be used in a variety of ways in Sunday School, Confirmation, as Lenten Worship or Dinner Church, or a Fall Stewardship Plan.

Another Option: I have presented a workshop on The Generosity Project several different times. If you want to host and lead a TGP workshop, check out this document. It’s easy to follow and to do!

As always, feel free to ask any questions!
